A restart - or why some of the sketches do not line up with the final model.

Halfway through this course, my tutor (Troy) recommended for me to expand past my principles as an engineer. Tanking this advice, i realised the design i had was not adequate, resulting in a re-design of the general building concepts. As a result, many of the sketches do not properly reflect the design of the final product.

Original ideas (Top) involved an enclosed church with a generic open space below.

Instead of an enclosed church, i wen instead with an opened glass church-like structure. The limited space and lack of substance draws great emphasis on the works of CJ Hendry, as they are the only solid objects in the area. The underground area is also revised to be circular in nature, with various storeys of space interconnected either by rails or stairs. This lattice of space represents the concept of "parts", as each individual element complements each other, resulting in a functional structure.
